up to four different sampling methods. The methods presented in the kit are
the exact same techniques/methods utilized by environmental consultants

should be used. The greater the adhesiveness of the tape or slide, the better the laboratory results.
Samples should be taken by folding the end (for handling) of a 1 to 2 inch piece of tape, or using a
specially manufactured tape slide, and touching the adhesive side to a surface where mold growth is
suspected, and gently pressing the tape or tape slide with enough pressure to create an impression
of the mold colonies. Tape slides, if available, are preferred due to the easy nature of sampling and
the minimal potential loss of mold spores during sampling, shipment and analysis." - John Bromley,
